Overview: Atmosphere’s newest album tackles a lot of deeper themes that most mainstream rap isn’t willing to address. This adds an authenticity and personal level to the record, and it works quite well with the refreshing incorporation of guitar and piano in the beats. The biggest problems with this album is classic track displacement (about 4 or 5 of the songs just don’t live up to the rest), and that the songs don’t always feel developed to their full potential. But overall, this is an intriguing and enjoyable listen from one of hip-hops most unique acts.
