Overview: Due to the youth of Avi Buffalo’s members, their self-titled debut feels like experienced songwriting put into the shoes of adolescent, coming-of-age performers. This is very good, but you can still tell that the group has some maturing to do, and it isn’t too groundbreaking. Still, this is a fun album that mixes innocence with a raw, youthful, sometimes sexual twist, which makes us very anxious to see where Avi Buffalo will go from here.
