The Apples In Stereo
VIMTV Episode #184: The Apples In Stereo – Travellers In Space and Time
Jake: Recommended, 69/100
Tom: Recommended, 65/100
Overview: Rob Schneider and the gang steer away a bit from their traditional indie-rock instrumentals and incorporate a lot of electronics on this album. While this would normally be a purely bad move in VIMTV’s opinion, The Apples In Stereo do it with tact by conceptualizing the album and not letting it compromise their songwriting style. However, these songs aren’t their strongest and for a long album there are just too many filler tracks. Still a good record and an interesting experimental step for this band, but the songs don’t always back up the ideas.
