Band Of Horses

VIMTV Episode #137: Band Of Horses – Infinite Arms

Jake: Partially Recommended, 66/100

Tom: Partially Recommended, 64/100

Overview: For their third album, Band Of Horses takes their indie-rock sound closer to the alternative-country genre than ever before. The vocals (especially the harmonies) are the highlight of this album, but aside from that, the material comes off as somewhat flat and unexciting. The songwriting is decent, but begins to all sound the same by the end, and it wasn’t very fresh to begin with. Overall it’s an enjoyable listen if you’re not paying too much attention, but the sheer lethargy of it becomes wearing and unjustified for the three years and thirty songs narrowed down to make it.
