Bark Psychosis

VIMTV Album Review #388: Bark Psychosis – Hex

Jake: 80/100

Tom: 80/100

Verdict: Recommended for all fans of post-rock, or even ambient, experimental music in general.

Overview: While Hex may not be today’s definition of post-rock, it was the album that coined the genre and helped shape the boundaries of its sounds and atmospheres. The guitars do a terrific job of creating mood, and the bass holds down the low end and keeps the tracks moving. While this album won’t jump out at you and tell you exactly what its trying to accomplish, with enough listens and a bit of patience it will prove to be quite a rewarding experience.
