Verdict: Recommended if you like Bjork and very abstract artistic music, but not if you’re looking for something catchy and fun to listen to.

Overview: Biophilia doesn’t fail to highlight Bjork’s incredible voice, just as any album of hers has done in the past. However, the result is quite different on this record– the musical backgrounds act as more of a backdrop for the vocals, which often sit on top of the mix and don’t mesh with the rest of the music. For some this will be a terrific effect, and for others it will make Biophilia nearly impossible to appreciate.
