Overview: Flamingo isn’t much of a change from the more recent Killers releases, but it’s a sound that surprisingly makes more sense coming from a solo act than a full band. Flowers gives 80s dream-pop inspired tunes in a very humble and honest way, ditching a lot of the flamboyant grandeur that saturates his performances with The Killers. Overall, the songwriting and lyrics here aren’t great, but they’re definitely passable and actually pretty enjoyable most of the time.
