Overview: The seventh addition to the Clem Snide catalog finds the band swimming in very familiar indie folk/country waters.  The Meat of Life’s best trait is showing how Clem Snide have perfected that sound focusing on great lyrics, songwriting and the occasional and much appreciated folkster rockouts.  In all reality, this album is only limited by its scope; which wasw to make a solid indie folk album.  The Meat of Life passes that test with flying colors, regardless of how unambitious of a feat it may be.
