VIMTV Album Review #408: Coldplay – Mylo Xyloto
Jake: 62/100
Tom: 59/100
Verdict: Not recommended.
Overview: Coldplay’s newest may be produced to the shiniest extent that today’s technology has to offer, but that doesn’t prevent it from coming off as the band’s most uninspired songwriting. The few saving graces of this album are terrific– however, it’s difficult to tell if they don’t just seem that way compared to the fluff around it. This album isn’t completely awful by any means, but relative to a lot of music coming out, it simply isn’t worth the listener’s time.

VIMTV Episode #39: Coldplay – Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends
Jake: Highly Recommended, 99/100
Tom: Highly Recommended, 94/100
Overview: Coldplay’s fourth album, produced by Brian Eno, finds them being less atmospheric than “X&Y,” but more flowing and album based than “Rush Of Blood To The Head.” Jake and Tom both love this album. ‘Nuff said, watch the video!
