Overview: Thank Me Later is quite an impressive release from Drake, especially considering the guy is only 23 years old. This album is a refreshing break from the dance-oriented beats and arrangements of contemporary hip-hop, and the same applies to the lyrics. Drake focuses on coping with fame and appreciating what he has rather than inflating his ego. A few downfalls, however, are the hit-or-miss choruses, the dragging length of the album, and the occasional sub-par guest performance. Overall, it’s great to see someone bring some mood to this genre and personalize it, rather than put on an egotistic show for people.
