Verdict: A fairly weak and overproduced sophomore album.

Overview: While Ceremonials is in general a much darker album than Florence + The Machine’s debut, a lot of that mood is stifled by the grandiose production. Also, nearly all the tracks are a bit too long, and the record as a whole gets pretty stale midway through. Florence still delivers some highly impressive vocals, but it doesn’t quite save Ceremonials from being lackluster overall.
