Gotye

VIMTV Album Review #441: Gotye – Making Mirrors

Jake: 84/100

Tom: 86/100

Verdict: An eclectic, upbeat and well-produced album that has a little something for everyone

Overview: Making Mirrors is an album that’s hard to define. Gotye pulls from a wide array of influences that he can blend quite impressively, even if he doesn’t always make them his own. All this variety, with the sharp production, makes this album a rewarding musical experience for anyone who can get on board with Gotye’s sound palette.

I agree with you guys about Somebody That I Used to Know being the most unique to Gotye. I can’t really get into State of the Art…I don’t get the whole voice distortion thing he was going for.
