Graham Coxon

VIMTV Album Review #477: Graham Coxon – A + E

Jake: 90/100

Tom: 91/100

Verdict:  Give this one a few tries to let the abrasiveness sink in. When it does, we’re sure you’ll agree this album is incredible!

Overview:  A + E attacks you with unabashed aggressiveness.  From the moment you turn this record on you are bombarded with nasty guitar and larger-than-life bass.  The combinations of punk, garage, Britpop and Britrock in the songwriting are completely infectious.  Graham Coxon’s vocal parts are cleverly crafted to add to the addictiveness of the record, but it’s the overall constant blast of intensity and authenticity combined with a sheer cut of quality that makes this record one of the most memorable 2012.
