Overview: While Sound Kapital is Handsome Furs’ first album using only synth, yet it still has a edgy rock sound that sets it apart from any other synth-pop bands out there. This is a great quality, especially when paired with the quality songwriting. The only aspects where this album falls a bit short is its scope– it could strive to do much more than it does. Also, the production isn’t quite as fat as other albums in this genre. Still, for us, that area of the sound is still secondary to the songwriting, which is exemplary on this album.
