Overview: Hey Marseilles’ debut album has a great folk pop sound and a variety of instrumentation that keeps the music interesting. The biggest drawback of this album is that while the vocal parts are well written, the vocalist doesn’t quite deliver a believable performance. There just isn’t quite enough “umph” behind it. Still, To Travels & Trunks is a very pleasing album to listen to and has something to offer any fan of this sound.
