The Horrors

VIMTV Album Review #395: The Horrors – Skying

Jake: 79/100

Tom: 84/100

Verdict: Recommended if you enjoy huge, reverbed out rock with a post-punk edge.

Overview: Skying shows a band that is not only willing to grow, but one that can do so with focus and skill. This album takes the band’s noise-rock and punk roots and expands it to a more washy, post-punk sound, blending perfect mixing and production with terrific songwriting. While this may not be the style for everyone, fans of any kind of rock music should at least give this a listen.

I really can’t get into this band… I own this CD and thought I would like but it feels bland to me… I wish there were some mood variations and whatnot…
