Overview: The Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas takes a stab at a solo career with his 2009 release “Phrazes For The Young.” It’s mainly electronic, and Jake and Tom feel like it really falls on its face. The vocals (which are the only redeeming factor) are too underneath the mix of random electronica, and the songs just aren’t interesting.
