Verdict: A relatively immature pop album with a few redeeming qualities.
Overview: Lana Del Rey’s debut LP shows an artist with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, that potential is being stifled by an obvious desire to fit in with the current pop scene, and it kills what melody and and mood this album has to offer. With better lyrics and a more mature approach, this album really could have been something good, but it’s just not.
