Lily Allen
VIMTV Episode #70: Lily Allen – It’s Not Me, It’s You
Jake: Not Recommended, 50/100
Tom: Not Recommended, 45/100
Overview: Lily Allen’s second album It’s Not Me, It’s You is a more poppy and radio friendly play than her first album and finds Lily depicting numerous subject matters through pretty standard pop and electronica beats. Jake and Tom find Lily’s lyrics to be so superficial and conceited that it makes it very hard for them to listen to this album. Jake also points out the lack of ANY change in song structures where Tom highlights how the album presents little to no interesting songwriting or instrumentality. VIMTV’s official analysis: a track here and there may catch your ear, but It’s Not Me, It’s You just plain stinks.
Recommended Similar Artists: Pretty much like anything on your local pop radio station except with a british accent and an occaisional cool electronic melody.
