Overview: Unfortunately, Motion City Soundtrack hasn’t really progressed their sound enough on this album to get them out of the mindless pop-rock sound that they’ve been stuck in for years. The song structures and lyrics get quite tedious, and their just isn’t a whole lot of depth here. Still, there are some very good qualities: the guitar work is great, and the vocal performance is impressive, along with the songwriting on some of these tracks. All these good qualities still don’t make up for the fact that there are more misses than hits on this record, making it a disappointment overall.
