Overview: This is one hell of an impressive debut album, especially from a production standpoint. Nicolas Jaar is able to perfectly capture a wide variety of moods in this album, all through a sharp, electronic sound. The biggest cons of this album is the occasionally cliche drum machine beats, and at times, aspects of the sound don’t really seem to have a point– they’re just there. This is a still a quite good album that deserves attention, and Nicolas Jaar will be an artist to watch.
