Overview: Fading Parade is a good lo-fi indie-rock album, but not a great one. Its production and mood is in the vein of Deerhunter and Women, but for us, the songwriting didn’t quite live up to these contemporaries. Also, the lo-fi aspects get a little extreme and muddle the sound so much that it becomes difficult to hear what is actually going on in the mix. Still an enjoyable listen, but probably not something that’s going to blow your socks off.
