Overview: All in all, this album could be better.  Placebo is playing it safe with Battle for the Sun; which is an album that is very catchy at times but also drags with some songs clearly not being up to par with the standout tracks.  However, even when this band plays it safe they still make some really good rock music which is always worth checking out.
