Rage Against The Machine

VIMTV Album Review #368: Rage Against The Machine – The Battle Of Los Angeles

Jake: 77/100

Tom: 94/100

Verdict:  Recommended if you like energetic rap-rock with great guitar, bass, and drums.

Overview: Never in the world of rock music has there been a band quite like Rage Against The Machine. They’re something of an anamoly in the fact that they are so formulaic, and yet you can’t help but love them and marvel at the uniqueness of their sound. On The Battle Of Los Angeles, their last album of original material, Rage perfects the style they had been shaping since the early 90s and takes the production to the next level. The songs are more catchy, the guitar crazier than ever, and the vocals are much clearer and easier to understand. Still, these songs are what they are — very predictable, not too progressive, yet somehow loveable all the same.
