VIMTV Episode #132: Red Sparowes – The Fear Is Excruciating, but Therein Lies the Answer
Jake: Recommended, 81/100
Tom: Recommended, 78/100
Overview: This is a great post-rock album made up of great guitar work reminiscent of Pink Floyd via David Gilmore and fantastic bass lines. Red Sparowes, through the cunning use of song titles, have created the soundtrack to the apocalypse. For some reason, “The Fear is Excruciating” can be hard to recall after a listen due to the album’s near perfect flow and transitioning; really this is just the fantastic post-rock arrangements begging you for a full-album experience rather than a track sample on Pandora.
