Overview: School of Seven Bells’ almagamation of unique style sets the stage for a unique and moody sophomore effort.  Unfortunatley, at least for VIMTV, these traits are really the best that Disconect From Desire has to offer.  While each song sounds very beautiful and interesting and prides itself on dancy synths and great vocals, the songs would probably work better on an individual basis rather than in the album format which sounds muddled and motonous on a straight through listen.  Still, Disconnect From Desire proves to be a very enjoyable listen and shows the band growing and expanding their craft.
