Overview: Street Sweeper Social Club is the project of Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave) and Boots Riley from The Coup. Overall, it sounds like a dumbed-down rehash of RATM without the instrumental chops of Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford or the vocal intensity of Zach de la Rocha. The guitar parts are still classic Tom Morello style, but aren’t even close to his best. This album feels more like two friends messing around in a studio than a well thought of release.  Also, this album has some of the most terrible lyrics ever written.
