Overview: The highlight of Tapes ‘n Tapes’ new album for us was the amount of control they have over their sound. These guys have a terrific hold over the intensity in their sound, but they don’t necessarily take it all the places that they could considering the deftness they exhibit. This album has plenty of good songs on it, and it’s quite enjoyable, but it’s not really amazing yet. We definitely believe that they have the potential to get there, though.
