Verdict: Recommended if you’re looking for something with a truly fresh and original sound, more specifically in the direction of complex musical arrangements, high energy, and a variety of instruments.

Overview: We highly doubt that this album will be like anything you’ve ever heard– and in a good way. The energy behind Garbus’ (the brains and soul behind tUnE-yArDs) vocal performance and songwriting is addictive and demands respect. The only slight downside to this overall impressive album is that the bells and whistles in the production and presentation of the songs don’t always work in harmony with the core of the songwriting. Still, this is an artist to watch as she has proven her ability to make a significant impact on today’s music.
