Verdict: Recommended if you like moody alt-rock with a good blend of electronic elements and rock instruments.

Overview: Smother offers a variety of moods that are uniquely dark, yet never in a threatening or sinister way. In this way, the album is introspective and inviting, however, it does seem like Wild Beasts are still holding back a bit– while this record is quite good, it never feels like it fully gets off the ground.
