VIMTV Episode #308: William Fitzsimmons – Gold In The Shadow

Jake: Recommended, 71/100

Tom: Recommended, 71/100

g>Overview: William Fitzsimmon’s latest work, Gold In The Shadow, is a good piece of soft, moody, acoustic rock music. What Fitzsimmons does to set this album apart from the slew of other similar artists in the genre is add sweeping string arrangements, moving bass riffs, and low-key electronic beats. This spices up the sound quite well and complements the good songwriting, but it still gets a bit lethargic and lacks some scope. Overall, a quite enjoyable album if you’re into the slow, acoustic sound.
