VIMTV Album Review #377: Woods – Sun And Shade

Jake: 68/100

Tom: 68/100

Verdict:  Recommended for fans of very lo-fi indie-rock, but really only hardcore fans. Probably not a good starting point.

Overview: Sun And Shade has some great ideas and a few pretty solid tracks, but what’s there doesn’t feel developed all the way. The songs are very short and don’t accomplish much, despite the fact that they usually have memorable melodies. Plus, over a third of the album is taken up by two instrumental tracks that slowly (and barely) build into what sounds to us like nothing. Not a terrible album, but not particularly impressive.

Jake’s Track Picks:

  • 8. Wouldn’t Waste
